To borrow a sports phrase, Mahesh Babu seems to be in top form. Following the critical and commercial success of Bharat Ane Nenu, the 43-year-old actor has shared the first look of his film, Maharishi. This is Mahesh Babu’s 25th film and there could be no better occasion to release its first look than on the actor’s birthday.
Sharing the look, he wrote, “Embarking on my new journey as RISHI.#MAHARSHI”. His character’s name is Rishi and sports a beard in the photo. He holds a laptop and is dressed casually in a shirt and jeans. The film is still being shot in Dehradun. After this schedule wraps up, the next leg will take the cast and crew to Goa.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharishi also stars Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. According to reports, the film is based on the life of Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella but the team is yet to confirm this but the logo of the film has the Statue of Liberty on it.
The film’s director took to his Twitter account to share, “#SSMB25 is just not a Landmark film on its own but a Journey through all these Incredible Years and All the previous 24 films of @urstrulyMahesh Sir put together and today yet another Journey will Begin…. need all Your blessings and wishes… :).”
